BeltLock – Is your Child’s Safety at Risk?
Imagine this scenario; you have installed your child seat in the back of your car. You pop your little one into the seat and secure them in with the child seat harness. One of the following happens:
- Your child manages to reach the red button on the safety belt buckle and press it
- Another child in the car presses the red button on the safety belt buckle
- An adult accidentally presses the red button on the wrong safety belt
Now the child seat is no longer secured in the vehicle. Any sudden stop throws the child seat forward. The potential consequences are too horrific to mention.
BeltLock is designed to help parents keep their children safe while traveling in the car as we believe all children are precious and need to be protected. That is why we fully support and endorse the use of car seats that are fully secured to the car with a seat belt. There are no short cuts in safety.
We want to help parents to keep their children from being killed or injured because the seat belt securing the child’s car seat was opened; by the child themselves or accidentally by an adult. The company founders use BeltLock on their own children’s car seats as it provides the best safety solution for us. We believe BeltLock can save their lives in an accident.
We know parents with young children are short of time, often stressed and the last thing they need is the worry of whether the car seat is securely fixed to the car with the seat belt. BeltLock aims to bring peace of mind by securing the car seat safely and securely to the car with the seat belt.
Please note that BeltLock is designed and intended to secure the buckle of a seatbelt that is used to restrain a child seat only. The purpose of this is to prevent the unintentional opening of this seat belt buckle and so leaving the child seat unsecured during travel. In the event of an emergency, the buckle of the child seat harness is released and the child removed from the child seat. The child seat would not be removed from the vehicle in the event of an emergency and so BeltLock does not restrict or prevent the quick freeing of a child. BeltLock is not intended for use with children in booster seats or sitting in the car as normal, as in the event of an emergency, the buckle of their seat belt must be easily accessible.
We all want the same thing; safe and happy children.
Thanks and Safe Driving
